The autumn novelty TALON GREEN, a deep SUBSOILER for meadows and pastures, from the Czech agricultural equipment producer SMS CZ, will be presented to Belgian farmers for the first time at the Agridagen exhibition from 16 February to 18 February 2024.
"We have been operating in Belgium and BENELUX for over 10 years and have built a stable position here, as we regularly export dozens of machines a year to the region. In the region, the greatest interest is generally in carried tillage machines, in 3 to 5 m swaths, and since it is the spring sowing season, we decided to present to the audience a combination of subsoilers, the SMART universal seed drill and the carried cambridge roller," says Petr Jirsa, managing director of SMS CZ
A total of five machines will be on display at the Van Meer Trading partner's stand at 1442, Hall 1.
The TALON GREEN subsoiler will be on display in the country for the first time. The machine is designed for deep cultivation and aeration of permanent grassland without disturbing the vegetation and mixing the soil structure and pulling stones to the surface. The machine's mechanically adjustable cutter cuts the top layer of the crop for smooth passage of the sward, up to a depth of 35 cm. The support roller then consolidates everything. The 300/4 model, a machine with a working width of 3 m and four husks, will be on display.
The TALON CLASSIC 400/8H. This is a machine with a working width of 4 m, equipped with 8 tines, which is hydraulically folded into the transport position. The working depth of the machine is up to 45 cm and the tines are secured either by a shear bolt or hydropneumatically. Straight or curved peels are available. The machine is used to agitate, lift and aerate compacted soil without actively mixing it.
The last of the subsoilers to be seen will be the TALON KOMBI 300/6, which allows aggregation with other tools due to its own three-point hitch. This allows the farmer to combine several operations in one pass. The working width of the machine is 3 m and the frame is equipped with 6 tines that aerate and aerate the soil without mixing it to a depth of up to 45 cm. The control of the three-point hitch is either mechanical or hydraulic on request.
The SMART 300 universal seed drill will also be on display. The machine is used for establishing and sowing soil seeds and meadow crops. The SMART works on the basis of slit seeding. It cuts a narrow slit in the soil into which it inserts the seed and presses the soil back down. With a working width of 3 m, it is suitable for small and medium areas. It is robust and therefore suitable for difficult conditions and stony soils. In addition, the machine can be equipped with a wide range of seeding accessories from APV.
The range of SMS CZ machines at the exhibition will be rounded off by TERAN N 300 cambridge rollers for rear three-point hitch. The rollers have a working width of 3 m and it is a carried version of the rollers, which stands out for its versatility, functionality and easy manoeuvrability. The machine is perfectly suited for use in the levelling and maintenance of permanent grassland, as well as for field applications, both for pre-sowing soil preparation and for subsequent seed rolling after sowing. Due to its short design, the machine's centre of gravity is very close to the linkage, making it suitable for less powerful tractors and sloping land.
Agridagen takes place from 16th to 18th February near Anverp on the very border with the Netherlands. The event has an international dimension and farmers from Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as Germany and France, will find their way here. More than 200 exhibitors will be present in four exhibition halls and on 20,000 square metres, with tens of thousands of visitors.
You are all cordially invited to stand 1442 in Hall 1.
