History
History of the company follows up on manufacturing tradition that dates back to 1897. Former company produced forged and casting goods mostly for agricultural sector and employed more than 100 workers. After WWII it was transformed to STS Rokycany. The company provided agriculture services and machinery repairs supplemented by small series of manufacturing production and other engineering programs for agriculture sector.
In 1993 the company was privatized and transformed to SMS CZ s. r. o., private owning company which followed up on experiences and successes from previous period. A new business program was developed on engineering production in industries of mechanical engineering and process equipment for environment and agriculture. Within 25 years of experiences in both areas the company has developed its engineering program to a current progressive and highly innovative state. Recently, SMS CZ designs and produces high quality machines for soil cultivation, pre-sowing preparation, rolling, meadow cultivation, grass seeding and reseeding that have been sold all over the world. Further, the division of environmental technologies designs and manufactures solution for waste incineration and flue gas stabilization with many references in Europe.

The company SMS CZ was established. It was beginning of the enterprise modern history with a long tradition in engineering production.
The company produced the first machine for soil cultivation of its own design, disc harrows DB which evolved to current design of disc harrows HURON.
The company started to produce machines for meadows cultivation – Meadow roller LV520. At the time the machine was equipped with smooth roller without any other accessories.
The company produced the first seeding machine of its design. It has been the most sophisticated product with automatic control unit.
SMS CZ expanded to New Zealand market with TITAN rollers. This moment greatly accelerated the development of machines for meadow cultivation, seeding and reseeding of grass.
The company entered to Canadian market where we placed wide range machines for soil cultivation.
SMS CZ expanded to Australia and New Zealand.
SMS CZ entered US market where we have been very successful with disc harrow SUPERIOR. The company´s widest design of this product has 12 meters of working width.
