The Belgian market and the entire BENELUX region are important markets for the Czech agricultural machinery producer SMS CZ. Over more than twenty years of presence in the region, the brand has built a strong position and regularly participates in the largest agricultural exhibition Libramont's Fair. This year will be no different: from 26 to 29 July, farmers can get to know five machines better.
"The Benelux region is characterised by its light soil, which is why local farmers prefer lighter machines with up to 5 m of reach. At the exhibition, we will traditionally be presenting cultivators suitable for this type of soil, lightweight disc cultivators, as well as universal cambridge rollers suitable for field and meadow too. You are all cordially invited to the event," says Petr Jirsa, Managing Director of SMS CZ s.r.o.
At the SMS CZ stand at 24.04, the ATOS 300 cultivator will be on display. The machine is suitable for both pre-sowing preparation and post-harvest soil processing. It is a universal device with a working width of 3 m. It is equipped with three rows of tines with an axial spacing of 30 cm. Different types of tines and machine settings allow the soil to be worked to a depth of 5 to 30 cm. The machine is characterised by its high durability and robustness and can be equipped with a wide range of accessories, including different types of rollers and securing methods.
The light disc cultivator category will be represented by the ONTARIO 450 H, a hydraulically folded, loaded sub-counter. The tool has two rows of 510 mm diameter discs and a support roller. The discs are mounted on maintenance-free bearings on individual high-strength steel skids. Against overloading, the tines are secured by rubber silent blocks. The working depth can be adjusted with clips up to 12 cm. The maximum working speed is up to 16 km/h. ONTARIO 450 H is ideal for shallow subsoiling or pre-seeding.
Also on display will be the ARRAS 470 H, a hydraulically folded, carried cultivator with a working width of 4.7 m. The machine has three rows of tines with an axial spacing of 22.5 cm, which are elastically secured by a double-wound flake. The ARRAS 470 H is suitable for pre-sowing preparation, deeper loosening up to 20 cm and shallow post-harvest tillage. The machine can be equipped with different support and crumbling rollers according to the soil conditions.
Depth subsoiler will be represented by the TALON CLASSIC 300/6 model with a working width of 3 m, six tines and a working depth of up to 45 cm. The tines are secured against overload by a shear bolt or hydropneumatically. Straight or curved peels are available. The machine efficiently agitates, lifts and aerates compacted soil without pulling unproductive subsoil to the surface.
The last machine of SMS CZ is the TERAN 300 N cambridge roller for the rear three-point hitch of the tractor with a working width of 3 m. The carrried rollers are versatile, functional and easy to use. They are ideal for straightening and maintaining grass areas as well as for field work such as pre-sowing preparation or rolling seed after sowing. Due to its short design, the machine's centre of gravity is close to the linkage, making it suitable for less powerful tractors and sloping land.
Libramont's Fair 2024 is one of the largest agricultural exhibitions in Europe in the open air. 700 exhibitors and 4,000 brands will present themselves on an area of 200,000 m2. Up to 200,000 people will visit the event over the four days.
