SUPERIOR disk cultivator: high performance even at high speeds

Disc cultivators are one of the long-standing favourite machines of the Czech agricultural equipment producer SMS CZ s.r.o. used for cultivation or pre-sowing preparation after ploughing or cultivation. The offer of the Rokycany company consists of two model series, where SUPERIOR is a representative of short and heavy cultivators.

The SUPERIOR semi-mounted model is offered in 5 and 6 m working widths. The machine consists of two separate wings, hydraulically folded. Everything is made of highly durable and rigid material. In the transport position, when the machine wings are raised perpendicular to the machine frame, the machine has a width of 2.99 m, which allows movement even on public roads. Like the SMS CZ machines, the SUPERIOR is also EU approved for road use.

The cultivator is equipped with two rows of discs with a diameter of 610 mm. The discs are mounted on maintenance-free bearings on forged double-bearings, which are secured against overload by rubber silent blocks. This increases the rigidity and durability of the machine even in difficult soil conditions.

The integrated axle located behind the discs and in front of the straightening rollers guarantees greater stability of the machine during work and efficiently loads it, while the SUPERIOR has excellent manoeuvrability during transport.

The working depth of the machine can be up to 18 cm and can be adjusted either mechanically or, on request, the SUPERIOR can be equipped with hydraulic controls. Thanks to the extension of the distances of the individual working bodies, an excellent passage of plant residues is ensured, even at high speeds. Customers appreciate the fact that the machine can operate at speeds of up to 16 km/h.

The machine can be equipped with a wide range of accessories. There is a range of support rollers on offer, and a new feature is the possibility of equipping the machine with double support rollers, such as a double cracker, a double U roller or a combination of tubular and slat roller. Thanks to the integrated axle, the support rollers are divided into three parts, with the central roller behind the machine wheels being sprung to improve the quality of work, especially in heavier conditions and at higher speeds. Another optional accessory is a seeding attachment for sowing intercrops or fertilising. Not forgetting the support wheels to increase the efficiency of ground following and the various types of discs.

The machine is suitable for quick shallow subsoiling, as well as for deeper soil processing up to 18 cm, but also for intensive mixing of plant residues or their uniform incorporation into the soil, pre-sowing soil preparation after ploughing, or loosening, back-compaction of the soil and restoration of capillarity.

For those farmers and companies that require high daily performance, SMS CZ s.r.o. offers the SUPERIOR G disc cultivator model. It is a cultivator offered in working widths of 8, 10 and 12 m. It differs from the SUPERIOR model by its construction, which is hydraulically folded forward, allowing vertical and horizontal terrain copying.
